These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of services provided by Storied Echoes Coaching Services ("we," "us," or "Facilitator"), operated by a Level II-trained practitioner in Narrative Focused Trauma Care (NFTC), based in Redding, CA. By booking, registering, or participating in any 1-on-1 Story Work Sessions or Story Group Facilitation ("Services"), you ("you," "Client," or "Participant") agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

1. Description of Services

The Services are designed to support personal growth through courageous narrative engagement, exploring personal stories (often childhood-focused) to name woundedness, confront shame with compassion, rediscover goodness, and move toward wholeness (Shalom). This is not therapy, counseling, medical treatment, or a substitute for professional mental health care.

• 1-on-1 Story Work Sessions: Personalized 50-minute sessions (virtual via Zoom or in-person in Redding area) focused on story sharing, revisits, integration, and blessing. Frequency: Weekly, bi-weekly, or as-needed. Packages available.

• Story Group Facilitation: 7-8 week intimate groups (5-6 participants max) with weekly 2-hour sessions (1 hour 45 minutes core time), including intake assessment, story sharings (600-1000 word written childhood story), second engagements, and closing blessing. Delivery: Virtual or in-person.

Services may include light email support between sessions/groups. All Services are rooted in NFTC principles but provided independently.

2. Eligibility and Client Responsibilities

• You must be 18+ years old and capable of consenting to participate.

• You agree to provide accurate information during intake (e.g., goals, prior experiences) and disclose any relevant health/mental health conditions.

• For groups: Submit a written story for pre-reading; participate respectfully; maintain confidentiality.

• You acknowledge potential emotional intensity and agree to seek professional help if needed (e.g., therapist referrals available).

• You consent to any session recordings (with notice) for my professional development only (deleted after review).

3. Fees and Payment

• Payments: Due in advance. All fees are non-refundable except as outlined in Section 7.

• Taxes: You are responsible for any applicable taxes.

• No insurance billing; Services are self-pay.

4. Scheduling and Changes

• Sessions/groups are scheduled via email or predefined schedule, subject to availability.

• I reserve the right to reschedule with reasonable notice (e.g., illness); you'll receive credit or refund if unable to accommodate.

• Groups require a minimum of 5 participants; if not met, I may cancel with full refund.

5. Confidentiality and Privacy

• I commit to maintaining confidentiality of your stories and information, except as required by law (e.g., imminent harm to self/others) or with your consent.

• In groups: All participants agree to mutual confidentiality—no sharing outside the group.

• Data: Basic info (name, email) is stored securely; no third-party sharing without consent. Complies with CA privacy laws (e.g., CCPA).

6. Liability and Disclaimers

• Services are for personal development only—not medical, psychological, or therapeutic treatment. No guarantees of outcomes; results vary.

• You assume all risks associated with participation, including emotional distress. I am not liable for any direct/indirect damages.

• Not affiliated with The Allender Center or any organization; Services are independent.

• Indemnification: You agree to hold me harmless from claims arising from your participation.

• Force Majeure: No liability for delays/cancellations due to unforeseen events (e.g., natural disasters, tech failures).

7. Cancellation and Refund Policy

General Principles

• Cancellations should be emailed with as much notice as possible.

• Refunds/credits processed within 7-10 business days (minus 3-5% fees).

• Case-by-case exceptions for extenuating circumstances (e.g., illness, emotional readiness)—contact me for discussion.

• Services complement therapy; referrals available if needed.

1-on-1 Sessions

• 48+ hours' notice: Full credit (6 months valid) or refund (minus fees).

• 24-48 hours: 50% credit (no refund).

• <24 hours/no-show: Full fee charged.

• Packages: Fully refundable before first session; non-refundable after, but transferable. Unused sessions expire after 6 months. One grace reschedule per package.

Story Groups

• Before start: 30+ days = full refund/credit; 14-29 days = 50% refund/75% credit; <14 days = full credit (12 months valid).

• After start: No refunds (due to group cohesion); possible prorated credit for early withdrawal. Missed sessions non-refundable.

• My cancellation: Full refund or priority in next group.

8. Termination

• Either party may terminate with written notice.

• I may terminate for breach (e.g., disruptive behavior, non-payment)—no refund for unused portions.

• Groups: Repeated no-shows may lead to removal (no refund) to protect group safety.

9. Intellectual Property

• All materials (e.g., guidelines, prompts) are my property; you may use them personally but not reproduce/share commercially.

10. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

• Governed by California law. Disputes resolved through mediation in Shasta County, CA, before litigation.

• Severability: Invalid provisions don't affect the rest.

11. Amendments and Acceptance

• I may update these Terms with notice (email/website). Continued use constitutes acceptance.

• By booking/paying, you agree to these Terms and any intake forms.
